Pastor Micah Fries wrote recently:

Those who disagree with us, Christian, aren’t our enemy. If they were, however, we’re to love our enemies. Do you love well?

Don’t give up on the importance of doctrine just because smart people disagree.   Something I always keep in mind: Just because I disagree with someone doesn’t mean he or she is wrong.  Theological isolation is a serious danger. Do you have friends who disagree with you? If not, proceed with caution.  Remember, the gospel doesn’t close down conversations between people who disagree; it makes them possible.
