Theology Tuesday: How Should We Wait for Christ’s Return?
Pastor Burk Parsons has wisely said:
If I knew Jesus was to return tonight I hope that I would live no differently today.
Yes, it is true—we don’t know the day or the hour when Christ will return. Don’t focus on the timing of Jesus’ return; just keep at the mission until he returns (Acts 1:6-11). Yet, the longer I live in this world, the more broken-hearted I become, the more willing to get involved, the more eager for Jesus to return. Pray daily for Jesus to return, on the bad days, the good days and all the in-between days. Come Lord Jesus, we long to see you face-to-face.
